Need Help Affording Baby Basics? Try Out Swagbucks

This post was originally published in April 2009. I always want readers to learn about Swagbucks, the effortless way to earn Amazon gift certificates online, so here’s my original post:

Search & Win

Am I the last person on the internet to hear about Swagbucks? After hearing that some Mommy Bloggers had earned over $100 in Amazon gift certificates in a single month, I had to jump in and give it a try. The premise is really simple: instead of using Google, Yahoo or another search engine, search for everything with the Swagbucks search engine instead! It’s powered by Google and Ask.com, so you get legitimate results for each search. You’ll randomly win Swagbucks as you complete searches. It’s usually 1 or 2, but I have won 5 or 10 at one time on occasion! Once you earn 450 Swagbucks, you can trade them in for a $5 Amazon certificate.

Swagbucks is really quick and easy. I’ve found that I usually win within my first 1-3 minutes of searching every day. Within my first month of using this program, I’ve earned $15 to spend at Amazon.com! This is really just by “googling” for less than 5 minutes a day, but I’m planning on spending a little more time there every day to try to increase my earnings. I’m saving the gift certificates to buy one of the activity gyms on my wishlist, but they could just as easily be used for essentials like bottles, onesies, or even something bigger like a car seat or stroller.

I can’t emphasize how easy Swagbucks is to use, and how fun it is to be rewarded for something so simple! The best part is that you earn your rewards, and you can refer people to sign up under your ID. You’ll also earn Swagbucks each time they get rewarded.

If this interests you at all, sign up here! I’ll get a little bonus if you win Swagbucks, and you can see just how easy it is to earn rewards for something you already do.

Ok so I have a question for you. I was looking at the swagbucks site and I am confunsed I can’t find where you get a amazon gift card for 45 swag bucks? Am I looking in the wrong place?

    It’s not 45 swagbucks for a $5 Amazon card…it’s 450 :)

Ah, yes! 450! I signed up, was all excited b/c I had 50 SB and went to get the Amazon cert…and saw 450…might want to edit that article.

I love swagbucks. I get about 3-5 $5 GCs a month and I don’t have any referrals. I wanted to use cloth diapers from the beginning, but it is just such an upfront investment. What if they didn’t fit the baby? With my swagbucks (and viewpoints rewards) I have been able to get the large Econobum kit, an individual Econobum, a BumGenious 3.0, 10 doubles, 2 wet bags and flushable liners for only $32 of my money.
